This sketch was presented in the competition which took place in December 1830 for the decoration of the Chamber to the Chamber of Deputies. This is the Coutan painter who obtained the order.

Ary Scheffer was a male painter, sculptor from the Netherlands, whose artistic style can primarily be attributed to Romanticism.
