Ο Salvator Rosa ανέπτυξε ένα είδος δραματικού τοπίου στο οποίο η φύση παρουσιάζεται ως άγρια, επικίνδυνη και γεμάτη με εντυπωσιακά εφέ φωτός, σπασμένα δέντρα, οδοντωτούς βράχους και σκοτεινές σπηλιές. Με καταγωγή από τη Νάπολη, η Ρόζα εγκαταστάθηκε στη Ρώμη το 1649, παράγοντας δραματικά έργα που θεωρούνται αντίστοιχα των ήρεμων, κλασικών τοπίων του Claude Lorrain και του Nicolas Poussin. Το σκοτεινό στυλ της Ρόζας ταιριάζει πολύ στο θέμα αυτού του ζευγαριού ζωγραφικής. διηγούνται ένα επεισόδιο από τους Ελληνοπερσικούς Πολέμους όπως το είπε ο αρχαίος Πράσινος ιστορικός Ηρόδοτος. Ο ηγεμόνας της Σάμου, Πολυκράτης, είχε ευλογηθεί με αξιοσημείωτη καλή τύχη. Σε μια προσπάθεια να αποτρέψει μια αντιστροφή της τύχης, έριξε ένα πολύτιμο δαχτυλίδι στη θάλασσα, αλλά του το επέστρεψαν, το οποίο κατάπιε ένα ψάρι. Η καλή του τύχη όμως τελείωσε όταν παγιδεύτηκε από τον Ωροίτο των Σάρδεων και θανατώθηκε.

• Εκτύπωση σε καμβά: The canvas print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden frame. It makes a particular look of three dimensionality. Also, a canvas makes a cosy, enjoyable appearance. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
• Εκτύπωση αλουμινίου (dibond αλουμινίου): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth effect. The bright parts of the original artwork shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glow.

This 17th century work of art was created by the male artist Σαλβατόρ Ρόζα στο 1665. ο 350 year old version of the masterpiece was painted with the exact dimensions: 28 1/2 × 38 13/16 in (73 × 98,6 cm). Λάδι σε καμβά was applied by the European painter as the technique for the masterpiece. The original masterpiece has the following text as inscrption: inscribed at lower right: SR (in ligature). The actor, poet, musician, painter, printmaker Salvator Rosa was an artist, whose artistic style can primarily be classified as Baroque. The Italian artist was born in the year 1615 in Naples, Napoli province, Campania, Italy and died at the age of 58 στο 1673.
