Area in the Rheinpfalz was painted by Anton Hlávacek. Anton Hlávacek was a painter, whose style was mainly Realism. The artist was born in the year 1842 in Vienna and died at the age of 84 in 1926.

A state scholarship enabled Hlavacek 1864 a study trip to the Rhine. For two years he lived in Worms. During this period emerged (now z. T. lost) large landscape paintings. After his return to Vienna in 1869 Hlavacek painted Alpine motifs often, its Gebirgsseebilder were particularly appreciated by the audience.
