The engravings by Boucher after Watteau which inspired this screen appear in the works of Watteau, "L'Oeuvre. . . Gravé d'après ses Tableaux & Desseins origineaux. . .par les Soins de M. de Julienne", Paris, n.d. vol. 3, pl. 56-60 (for an example of which, see 28.113 in the Metropolitan Museum's Department of Prints and Drawings).
